Overview

Small high school with around 50 students. Small groups allow students to get in touch with the teachers more easily. All the students know each other. The atmosphere is communal.

Summer: around +20 (more or less), fall 0-10 degrees depending on the month. Winter from 0 to -25. Spring (depending on the month) is 0-20 degrees.

25km to Kurikka, 50 km to Seinäjoki and Vaasa.

Everything is close by. Health care center 1km, restaurant 500m, bus station 200m, gym in the building next door, library 200m. We are located in the center of the town.

Beach 2 km. Sports capabilities are next to the school.

Study line: General study line

We don't have any special study lines. A guidance counselor helps students with any problems concerning their studies.

Expenses

Rent around 380€/month, including electricity, water and internet.

Other

The University of Oulu, University of Vaasa, University of Tampere, Oulu University of Applied Sciences, Vaasa University of Applied Sciences, Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences. Basically in every university in Finland.

We have a guidance counselor who helps students with their studies. Also, the teachers are there to help the students in their respective subjects.

There will be orientation days. We also organize wellness afternoons for the students during which they have the possibility to play games, do outdoor or indoor sports, watch movies, and so forth.

Our school is a small one but all the students and teachers know each other. That's why it is really easy to get in contact with everyone. The atmosphere in our school is great.

In the same building as the high school, we also have a junior high school so we have common teachers.

In the other building, we have a primary school. Altogether we have around 370 students between ages 7 and 19.

Studying in the high school of Jurva is free, we don't have any tuition fees. The school is located in the center of the town so everything is close by.

There are two other high schools nearby, Kurikka high school and Jalasjärvi high school.
