Vuoksi Vocational Education College
Suupohja koulutuskuntayhtymä Vuoksi provides and develops versatile and high-quality vocational qualifications to promote the well-being of the society, region and people in close co-operation with employers and their establishments.
As a regional vocational upper secondary education provider, we have a mission to provide the basic knowledge and the skills that meet the needs of the working life and future. We will build for our students flexible learning environments and individual study paths.
We have over 550 full-time students. Vocational education and training (VET) is popular among young people in Finland. Over 50% of young people applying to secondary level studies choose VET.
Accommodation
We co-operate with Kauhajoki Town rental apatments which provides rental apartments at Kauhajoki town near our campuses. The costs are around 150€-300€/month.
About studies
For every student a PCDP is developed (=personal competence development plan). Studies proceed according to one’s own individual and personal plan.
Depending on the previous work experience of the individual student, there are internships periods during studies. These internships are served without salary and are part of the course of the student’s studies.
The basic workig clothes and shoes are provided. Studying material (books etc) are provieded. Lunch is provieded on schooldays. For agricultural students breakfast and dinner are also provided during schooldays.
About Kauhajoki Town
Kauhajoki town is situated in southern Ostrobothnia. With its dynamic and thriving business community, Kauhajoki is the second largest town in the Province of Western Finland in terms of land area. Population is approximately 14 000.
Vuoksi Campuses are located close to the Kauhajoki town center.

You can apply to Vuoksi when you have passed B1.1 level test. We accept students who's Finnish language skills are at the B 1.2. level.
Submit application, diplomas and motivation letter in english and at least some parts in finnish, the letter can include videolink also.
